When presenting, I stick to the a 3 X 3 principle: three steps and three key messages.
The three step approach is summed up very well here:
“My lecturing method is simple; first I tell them what I am going to tell them, then I tell them, then I tell them what I told them.” Hilaire Belloc
The best example I know, of deploying no more than three key messages, was Tony Blair in the election campaign of 1997:
“Our top priority…education, education, education.”
If you practice this approach your presentations will be both concise and memorable to the audience.
